function on its own.

used in conjunction
with other
keys
to perform special functions.
The meaning of ALT varies, depending on the
application you're using.
While using the BASIC language, the ALT key
allows you to quickly and easily enter BASIC
keywords with a single keystroke. For example,
ALT-I generates the word "INPUT". Here's a
